Description:
The Ocean and Climate Platform is an international multi-stakeholder network that brings together 70 members: NGOs, foundations, research centres, universities, public institutions, and associations of private firms all working together to raise awareness on the inter-linkages between Ocean and Climate.

The Intern’s responsibilities will include:
• Communication support:
o Draft a wide range of communication materials, including meeting reports,
newsletters, blog articles, conference documents, press releases and policy briefs
o Regularly update the Platform’ social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram,
LinkedIn)
o Regularly update the website with previously produced digital content
• Outreach support:
o Support the mobilization of the Platform’s members
o Assist with the organization of international conferences, meetings and workshops o Follow-up on key international processes, such as the UNFCCC, CBD, BBNJ, IPCC,
Ocean Decade
o Follow-up of the relations between the Platform and national institutions (e.g.
Ministry of Environment)

Skills and qualifications:
• Excellent command of English and French (oral and written)
• Excellent writing skills and attention to detail
• Excellent skills in social media management
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work with minimum supervision
• Strong knowledge of international environmental affairs and governance (ocean, climate and
biodiversity)
• Graphic design skills would be an asset

Academic background: Be enrolled in a masters’ degree in environmental sciences, political science, international relations, communication or equivalent.

Dates: The internship will start on 4 February 2019, ideally for a period of six months.

Financial compensation: Minimum wage for student interns.

Location: Paris 05, 
Institut Océanographique, Fondation Albert Ier, Prince de Monaco – 195 rue Saint Jacques – 75005 Paris.
