(Environmental Hygiene)/ Stage of realization
✓Context of the internship:
Hygiene is a term that refers to cleaning and grooming. In the case of environmental health, the concept is linked to maintaining the sanitary conditions of the environment to prevent it from affecting human health.
More specifically, we can say that environmental hygiene is the science that is dedicated to preventing, controlling and improving the environmental conditions that surround us and that are fundamental and necessary to maintain perfect public health. This means that it is dedicated to the maintenance of air, water, natural resources, soil, flora and fauna, among others. It is because it is up to us, human beings, to have a good quality of life on this hygiene. Thus, its field of action ranges from the fight against pests in housing or buildings to the development of actions in the field of school or health hygiene, among others. Environmental hygiene therefore involves the care of chemical, physical and biological factors external to the person. These are factors that can affect health: therefore, the goal of environmental health is to prevent diseases from creating healthy environments.
Environmental hygiene must be a health concern for present and future generations.
It is with this in mind that the NGO Cercle d’or Togo has undertaken to work in this area with the town halls, schools, local associations, health centers, cantonal chiefs for a good implementation of this project.
And we need volunteers or volunteers who will be willing to help us take the lead.
✓Objectives of the Internship:
-Raise Awareness on the Theme: HENV
-Bring together all the actors involved for a good implementation
-Clean all public places
-Clear all piles of garbage and plastic waste
-Clear polluting and wastewater that causes disease
-Install garbage cans everywhere
-Organize awareness sessions with populations, CDQs, associations
-Go to schools and get students to join the project
-Make a specific document on The HENV
✓Candidate Profile:
Graduate studies in environment, communication, sociology and others
✓Required skills:
Proficiency in office tools (Office Pack)
✓Working language:
French
